In your opinion, what is the absolute best thing about Archbishop Bergan Catholic School? Archbishop Bergan is a great school because we have the opportunity to express and share our faith. Also, as a music teacher it is a wonderful thing to be able to use music that glorifies God and to recognize Christ at Christmas time.

Bergan Singers is the name of the 7-12 vocal group. Performances include Fall Concert, Christmas Concert, District Music Contest, Spring Concert, Commencement and an out-of-state performance with the Band every three years. Additional performance opportunities include Honor Choirs at All-State, Conference, as well as several colleges and universities across Nebraska.

In your opinion, what is the absolute best thing about Archbishop Bergan Catholic School? Archbishop Bergan Catholic School educates the whole student with Christ at the center of everything. From this evolves a family like environment that fosters continual growth in knowledge and service to those around us.


Instrumental Music

Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor, participation in band in 5th and 6th grade

Band devotes time to playing as an ensemble and developing performance skills. It is designed to offer varied musical experiences such as concert band, marching band, pep band, clinics, and solo/small ensemble development. Performances include four concerts per year and pep band at select home football, volleyball, and basketball games. Other opportunities include District Music Contest, Commencement, earning a letter (9th-12th grade students only), optional Honor Band auditions and/or participation at colleges and universities across Nebraska including All-Conference and All-State, and an out-of-state performance trip at least once every three years.
