In your opinion, what is the absolute best thing about Archbishop Bergan Catholic School? Archbishop Bergan Catholic School exists to instill a passion, as exemplified by Christ, for faith, knowledge, and service. One of the best things about teaching at Bergan is this mission statement. Our mission statement reminds us that at the center of everything we do is Christ. It is truly amazing to teach in an environment like this! We are a family helping one another grow both spiritually and academically.

This course sets the framework for our Catholic Christian beliefs. The life of Jesus is studied in the gospels and through daily prayer. Jesus shows the framework for morality by giving us a new way to see life and to live out his love. He gives us a new appreciation of our own dignity and the dignity of our neighbors.
Old Testament

The focus of this course is an understanding of the Covenant between God and His people. Students have the opportunity to explore the main characters and events throughout the history of lsrael. While exploring this history, students will gain an understanding of the key truths God reveals to those in the Old Testament.
Discipleship and Christian Values

By studying the concept of discipleship, stewardship, exploring the Apostles Creed, and a set of core Christian values, this year will focus on the challenges related to adolescence and to understand the skills needed to respond to these challenges as people created in the image of God. A strong review of foundational prayers, Sacraments of Initiation, understanding of the liturgy, commandments and precepts focusing on an awareness of the Holy Spirit's presence that comes to Christians in the living body, the Church is also investigated.
