ARCHBISHOP BERGAN CATHOLIC SCHOOL ANNOUNCES HIRING OF TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS FOR 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR.

Mrs. Lori McIntyre will be moving from teaching second grade and will be assuming a new role as the Assistant Principal at Bergan Elementary next year. Mrs. McIntyre has served as a teacher at Bergan Elementary for the past eleven years. Lori will obtain her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Creighton University in May and will move into her new role this summer. This left us at Archbishop Bergan Elementary with a second grade teaching position to fill.

Lynn Dinkins has accepted the responsibilities of teaching second grade alongside Mrs. Kris Janke. Lynn is a 2001 graduate of the Fontbonne University and holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Multidisciplinary Studies from Webster University. She brings a wealth of teaching experience having taught in the Bayless School District located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. "We are excited to welcome Mrs. Lynn Dinkins as our new second grade teacher. Her passion for her faith, teaching experience and love of a family environment models the type of educators we wish to lead our students at Bergan Elementary. She will be a great asset for our students and will provide a loving atmosphere in the primary wing at Bergan Elementary." Dan Koenig, Principal. Lynn and her husband Tad have three children, Leah, Tessa & Tori that attend Bergan Elementary.

Archbishop Bergan Catholic Middle/High School will experience a restructuring of some staff positions for the 2018-2019 school year. Sue Wewel will move from a full time position of teaching Science and Physical Education to a half time position of teaching only Middle School Science. T. J. Folkers had taught Science and Physical Education at the High School level. Mr. Folkers will move solely to teaching grades seven through twelve Physical Education for the 2018-2019 school year. This created an opening for a grades nine through twelve teaching position. Bergan Middle and High School will also institute the Project Lead the Way Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (S.T.E.M.) curriculum that is being utilized at Bergan Elementary.

Leeza Perry has been hired as the Science instructor and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (S.T.E.M.) Coordinator at Archbishop Bergan Middle/High School. Leeza is currently serving as the Middle School Science teacher and faculty liaison for S.T.E.M. at Elkhorn St. Patrick’s Catholic School. Mrs. Perry previously was employed as the head of the Science Department at O’Neill St. Mary’s Catholic High School. "We at Archbishop Bergan Catholic are excited to announce the hiring of Mrs. Leeza Perry. Leeza brings content knowledge and work ethic that will launch our S.T.EM. program at Bergan Middle/High School. Her experiences and attitude are just what our Middle and High School students need to continue to move our school academic program in a positive direction." Dan Koenig, Principal
