As we continue to get ready for the 2017 - 2018 academic year, one of the items on our DASH Exchange Student list is securing host families for our international students.
Each year area families open their homes to these brave, young travelers who are looking to broaden their educational experience, learn English and partake in the American culture as a high school student.
For this upcoming school year, we are in need of two long or short host families (1 student from Macedonia and 1 from S. Korea). The students will arrive 5 days before school starts and leave 5 days after school ends. Hosts provide a warm, safe home environment for the student, a bed and meals. We do offer a small start-up stipend to help with any household expenses that might increase due to incorporating an additional person in the home.
