So what exactly is this cultural phenomenon that is called Homecoming? Homecoming is an annual tradition of the United States. People, towns, high schools and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back alumni and former residents. It is built around a central event, most often, a game of football. This game is usually played on a school's home football field. The coronation of a Homecoming Queen and at many schools, a Homecoming King also takes place. A Homecoming dance for students is commonly conducted as well.
At Archbishop Bergan Catholic School, we follow and practice many of the same traditions. We also have some of our own unique traditions. The following is a list of some of the events of Homecoming Week 2019.
